Music Was A Luxury
Music was a luxury when I was growing up in the 80's and 90's. No more record players and 8 tracks! It took time to make mix-tapes and DJ's were responsible for getting us through our day. Just further illustrates how much we take music for granted and children of today don't realize how much we relied on cassette players for entertainment. Music was never free, no Internet, iTunes, or bootleg downloads. Albums/LP's/records, tapes, and CD's were appreciated for their art work and for the fact that some were nice enough to finally share the correct lyrics with you. Even now, most play music on their phones and mp3 players are becoming obsolete. What's next? A microchip in our heads?Sure, going for a jog with a Walkman was like lifting weights but there is a nostalgia and appreciation for how hard we had to work to make music readily available, portable, and customized.
